Smoked Paprika Oven Home Fries

Bake don't fry. A great recipe for oven baked home fries with smoked paprika.

  • 2 pounds potatoes peeled, cut into wedges
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon hot smoked paprika
  • 3/4 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt


  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. In a small bowl mix together all the spices. 

  3. Peel the potatoes and cut them into wedges. Place potatoes in a large sauce pan of water. Slowly bring them to a boil and let them cook until about 3/4 of the way done. Drain well, place the potatoes on a very clean kitchen towel. Using another towel, pat as dry as you can get them.

  4. Toss potato wedges in olive oil. Add spices, toss gently to coat.

  5. Arrange, in one layer, on a baking sheet that's been sprayed with PAM. Bake for 30 minutes, or until potatoes are golden and crisped. Turning once half way through the cooking time.
