Making broiled lobster tails at home is as easy as falling off a log and perfect for any special occasion dinner.
We’re smack dab in the middle of the out of control Holiday Season in which we lose track of time, run out of time and stress over time. And food events certainly fill up our busy calendar this time of year. Whether it be for special Holiday meals, wow-worthy desserts, grabbing an appetizer for a party or simply planning quick easy dinners at home, why not make things easier on yourself by pulling into Tony’s Market on Dry Creek for some stress-free food ideas. Let’s start with an appetizer idea.

I grabbed a package of these coconut chicken bites and a bottle of Colorado local Kim’s Gourmet Cracked Pepper Dijon Dipping Sauce. It always makes me feel good to support local, I love that Tony’s carries so many Colorado products.
For the sake of time and for the sake of gourmet, a quick bake in the oven and boom…an impressive appetizer.
When I think of special Holiday meals, lobster always come to mind. Tony’s had a BOGO sale last week as part of the 12 Days of Christmas Sale and dinner couldn’t have been easier. With some simple seasoning, a dollop of butter, and a quick broil in the oven, elegant found its way to our table.
And don’t forget to ask for Tony’s herb and garlic butter to make that lobster tail even more delicious. They keep it stashed behind the meat counter.
My side dish? You haven’t lived until you’ve tried Tony’s twice baked potatoes. There’s always an army of these things ready to take home and reheat in the microwave. Creamy, potato-e, savory…these things are crowd-pleasing killer delicious.
Just a few inches away from those potatoes, I spotted some Parmesan asparagus. Already cooked, these beautiful stalks were sauteed in olive oil and sprinkled with fine Parmesan cheese. I didn’t reheat these, but just served them at room temperature. Delicious, delicate in flavor, tender and so perfectly cooked.
So there you have it, a quick stop at Tony’s Market on Dry Creek and I had an impressive and simple Holiday meal complete with appetizer. And had I wanted dessert, Tony’s can certainly oblige. Not one but two cases of sweet gourmet treats.

- 2 lobster tails
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
- melted butter
Preheat oven to broil.
With kitchen shears, cut the back shell of the lobster tail and pull back shell to expose the meat. Place lobster tails on a baking sheet. Sprinkle with salt, paprika and white pepper. Drizzle on the melted butter and place on rack a few inches below the broiler in oven.
Broil for 6 - 10 minutes depending on the size of the lobster tail. Meat should start to brown on top.
This method will also work just as well on a grill preheated 600 degrees and then turned down to 350 degrees. Cook for the same amount of time.
