As promised, I made a 2nd lunch trip to Pesce Fresco in Greenwood Village. Again, let me tell you that I LOVE that restaurant. The atmosphere is elegant and cozy, the wait staff accomplished and attentive and the food excellently crafted.
Bob and I made the anticipated lunch date, studied the menu, and then odered nothing we had pre-planned! HA Doesn’t matter, I’m convinced everything is good.
Bob ordered the Ricotta Gnocchi.
Artichokes, asparagus, ricotta gnocchi in a “loaded with flavor” broth which we think was lemon based with basil and a distinct garlic feel. YUM
I ordered the Colorado Lamb Meatball Sandwich. I don’t even know where to begin on what was the best part about that open-faced sandwich. The menu describes the bread as a “hoagie”. I’ve never had that good a “hoagie”. The bread was fab. Pomodora Sauce: some sort of Aoili? What ever it was, it was delicious. I’m pretty picky about my lamb; those meatballs were savory. Topped with melted mozarella cheese and sweet cherry tomatoes, a side of Caprese salad, and pickled olives, peppers and carrot.
My plate was so clean, I hope the dishwasher knew it had been used.
